<strong> Points to Note:</strong><br />
Although it is not required to obtain the technical passport per new legislation, it is assumed that this Step is desirable in order to check the current characteristics of the property. It is especially of relevance if there were re-planning in the property being transferred or any of the surrounding properties. The Registration Service Committee prepares technical passport within 19 calendar days.</p>

<h3>Step 3: Notarization of seller’s and buyer’s incorporation documents and the sale-purchase agreement</h3>

<strong> Points to Note:</strong><br />
Notary fees for notarizing the sale-purchase agreement are calculated at 1,500% of the Monthly Index and for certification of the copies of corporate documents at 10% of the Monthly Index per page. In 2008, the Monthly Index is set at KZT 1,168. Therefore, the notary fee for certification of the sale-purchase agreement is at KZT 17,520, and certification of each page of the corporate documents costs KZT 117 per page.</p>

<h3>Step 4: The buyer applies to the Registration Service Committee to register the property</h3>

Cost of registration of non-residential premises depends on the number of buildings to be registered:</p>
<p>1 building – 10 x Monthly Index (1,168 for 2008) = KZT 11,680;<br />
2-5 buildings – 15 x Monthly Index = KZT 23,360;<br />
6-10 buildings – 20 x Monthly Index = KZT 29,200.</p>
<p>The documentation shall include:</p>
<p>- a filled in standard application form;<br />
- 2 original copies of the notarized sale-purchase agreement (obtained in Step 3)<br />
- Non-encumbrance certificate (obtained in Step 1)<br />
- Technical passport of the property (obtained in Step 2)</p>
